It is a couple days late for posts on love, but honestly I do not care because in Catholic RCIA class this morning that is what we talked about. It was amazing. Love is an amazing thing. Hate is not the opposite of Love, but using is the opposite of love. It really is a bummer that the English language has only one word for love while the Bible (in Latin) has three different words for it. Each one gets progressively stronger in meaning, and I feel I have a new reason to want to stay pure until I am married (at first it was just out of respect for my future husband, but now it is for God). It is like my eyes have been opened to a whole new light.

Three types of love:

Philos (brotherly love)

Eros (Spousal love)

Agape (unconditional love/ God’s love)
